Cardboard – Please flatten
Comingle Material – Items collected together
Glass – Bottles & Jars (clear & colored). Please discard lids, caps, corks and rinse the container. (Glass is not accepted at the Goshen Center).
Mixed Paper – Includes receipt paper, computer paper, magazines, catalogs, bulk mailings, carrier stock paper, newspapers, cereal boxes (no plastic liner). Please do not place waxed paper, used tissues or paper towels in the container.
Scrap Metals – Any metal item(s) except: dishwashers, barb wire. Please be sure to check any appliances to ensure they are empty.
Household Waste – Accepted in the compactors at all staffed collection centers.
Bulky Items – Mattresses, box springs, sleeper sofas.
Tires – Light auto/truck tires 32” diameter & off rim only. (Accepted at the following locations: Fairfield, Glasgow, Goshen staffed centers & Blue Ridge Resource Authority).

NO Food Containers
NO Shredded Paper
NO Plastic labeled #3 up to #7
NO Plastic Bags (return to retailer)
NO Styrofoam or Bubble Wrap
NO Paint Cans (look for local events)
Latex paints should be in a dry form (no liquid) add kitty litter, sand, or mulch to the container for absorption of the liquid. After all the liquid is absorbed/dry, please replace the lid on container and discard into your bagged household trash.
Oil Based paints are not accepted. Please dispose of these items at our Household Hazardous Waste Collection events held each Spring and Fall.
Fluorescent bulbs, lead batteries, electronics recycling (e-waste), televisions and monitors, construction and demolition debris, furniture, mattresses, bathtubs, grills and other bulky items, bicycles, tires
ALL COMMERCIAL/CONTRACTOR WASTE MUST BE TAKEN TO THE BRRA LANDFILL
ALL BRUSH AND WOODY DEBRIS MUST BE TAKEN TO THE LANDFILL.
